چکیده

Appendix A. Calibration of the sensitivity of the ICCD camera Two independent techniques were used for the sensitivity calibration: Rayleigh scattering from air and Mie scattering from standard spherical polystyrene latex particles. The laser beam was focused by a spherical lens (focal length 200 mm at 248 nm), so that the focal point was in the field of view of the optical system composed of the imaging optics (a single lens or a doublet) and the camera. The calibration then consisted of the accumulation of a number of pulses in a single frame, measuring the total laser energy, and processing of the beam image formed by Rayleigh scattering. The number of scattered photons was evaluated theoretically. The Cartesian coordinates used below: x axis is parallel to the direction of the incident laser beam, y axis is along the direction from the sampling zone to the camera, and z axis is along the jet and perpendicular to the x and y directions. The optical system magnification was measured using thin wire as a scattering object and a translation stage to shift the wire by known distances. The magnification of the system was 5.1 ± 0.1.

Drug Nano-Particles Formation by Supercritical Rapid Expansion Method; Operational Condition Effects Investigation

Dissolution pressure and nozzle temperature effects on particle size and distribution were investigated for RESS (Rapid Expansion of Supercritical Solution) process. Supercritical CO2 was used as solvent and Ibuprofen was applied as the model component in all runs. The resulting Ibuprofen nano-particles (about 50 nm in optimized runs) were analyzed by SEM and laser diffraction pa...

Application of Supercritical Fluid ‎Technology for Preparation of Drug Loaded ‎Solid Lipid Nanoparticles

Small changes in pressure or temperature, close to the critical point, lead to large changes in solubility of supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2). Environmentally friendly supercritical CO2 is the most popular and inexpensive solvent which has been used for preparation of nanodrugs and nanocarriers in drug delivery system with supercritical fluid technology. Formation and Characterization of Beclomethasone Dipropionate Nanoparticles Using Rapid Expansion of Supercritical Solution.

PURPOSE Particle size of Beclometasone Dipropionate (BDP) was reduced by the rapid expansion of supercritical solution (RESS) process, using CO2 as supercritical solvent. Also, the effect of RESS parameters such as extraction pressure, pre-expansion temperature, and weight fraction of co-solvent on the size and distribution of BDP particles were investigated. METHODS The effects of extraction...

Ex-situ studies on calcinations of structural, optical and morphological properties of post-growth nanoparticles CeO2 by HRTEM and SAED

Nanocrystalline particles of Cerium Oxide (CeO2) have been prepared by the chemical precipitation method using Cerium nitrate and Urea with a molar ratio of 1:2. The results revealed that the formation of CeO2 fine particles is influenced by molar ratio of metal nitrates to fuel. Well faceted CeO2 nanoparticles, were synthesized by thermal-assisted dissociation ...
